The conception of Insight (Wales & West) Ltd came about from the fusion of Camera Control
Systems Ltd & Integrated Vision Systems Ltd. Who between them have over 26 years experience
in the vision market.
Founded by:

John O’Connell (BA Hons) - Director of Development
• 24 years in smart CCTV and surveillance
• Founder member of the “Camera Control Systems” Group
• Formed companies world wide including South Africa, Canada, Spain & Russia
• Camera Control Systems was listed 14th in the top 50 fastest growing companies in Wales
• Camera Control Systems (Wales) was then acquired by Chubb PLC in 2001. Where John
became the Director of Integrated Business Development.

Russell Grigg (BEng Hons) - Technical Director
• Lead vision engineer for Sony Tec UK Bridgend (2000 to 2005)
• Implemented 100% product tracking and traceability for Sony Bridgend
• Introduced world first automated CRT inspection system in screening, saving >£200,000
for £15,000 investment
• BEng - Manufacturing Engineering - Nottingham University
• Sony 6 Sigma green belt qualified
